Combines

This new series of digital prints is an exploration of my fascinations with machines, satellites and Iowa agricultural and vernacular architecture. These artworks are created through digital collage with digital photographs, no 3-D modeling software is used in the creation of these works. They are imaginative reconfigurations of grain elevators, farm buildings and other Iowa architecture while reflecting my imagination for machines, gizmos and the galaxies.

Solo exhibitions of this work will occur this fall at the Corning Center for the Fine Arts in Corning Iowa, October 6 – November 3 2007, and at the Council Bluffs Public Library, November 10 – December 1 2007.

These exhibitions are both supported in part by a grant from the Iowa Arts Council and an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
