These works are informed by the technology and aesthetics of cold war military aircraft. As a child of the sixties and seventies these aircraft were an image of technological superiority and power. Also in that time period science fiction questioned such power and the results of it. Illustrations from this time took technology and machines from the cold war that were familiar and changed them into more ominous and beautiful machines.
The works are collaged from photographs taken at the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum in Ashland, Nebraska.
